SoCal WACs Michaela Negrete and Molly McDowel took the leap this past August and found themselves storming the beaches of America's largest WWII reenactment: D-Day Conneaut! Nestled along the coast of Lake Erie, this fully immersive encampment covers all fronts involved in the Normandy invasions.
While Molly spent the week being everywhere at once as a staff photographer, Michaela found herself sending a plethora of messages from the 1st WAC Message Center. Both agree it was an incredible week of meeting new people, finding online friends, and networking with the communities best and brightest. Thanks for your hospitality, D-Day! We definitely hope to see you again next year!
